Clinical Commissioning Group
We are part of NHS Birmingham and Solihull Clinical Commissioning Group and work closely with other practices in the group to ensure quality of services across the area.
Birmingham and Solihull CCG was created in order to provide a single commissioning voice across Birmingham and Solihull.
They also work as part of a wider group across health and social care called a Sustainability and Transformation Partnership. This is made up of NHS organisations and local authorities working together to meet the growing demand for health and care in line with the available resources, in a bid to make high quality care sustainable now and for future generations.
They want to deliver the best possible outcomes for local people, tackling health inequalities and meeting the health and well-being needs of a diverse population, as well as improving CCG and provider performance and ensuring financial sustainability across Birmingham and Solihull.
Focus
Their focus is on:
- Commissioning services that deliver the aims, objectives and service improvements included in the Birmingham and Solihull STP, contracts with providers and as set out in the Birmingham and Solihull Operational Plan 2017-19.
- Developing as strategic commissioner, strengthening place-based commissioning and provision and developing and implementing the STP operating model.
They will deliver this through their clinically-led organisation, with clear priorities and with clear measurements of success that demonstrate to the citizens of Birmingham and Solihull that health and care partners are working closely together to deliver high quality, integrated services and care.
